Holistic Massage School Celebrates 32nd Anniversary.

Paula Curtiss Chief Financial Officer and Co- Director Staff Instructor Massage Therapist Program & Holistic Health Practitioner Program
Paula Curtiss, Founding Director

Paula and Neha Curtiss are well-known educators of  Massage and the Holistic Healing Arts in SoCal. Credited with creating the first Massage Therapy training program for community colleges in SoCal, the couple founded Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, (Healing Hands) just a few years later in 1992 . This month, on  Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, they celebrated the school’s 32nd year of operation.  When acknowledging the milestone, Paula commented, “I want to thank our exceptional Faculty, Staff, and dedicated Students for our continued success. If not for the thousands of graduates who believed in our Mission, our vision would not have become a reality.” she added.

What started with two instructors teaching 8 courses, has grown to dozens of Instructors teaching over 80 massage and holistic health courses. Paula and Neha’s original vision was: ‘To teach therapeutic bodywork so that students not only learn the techniques but are inspired by the art and craft of the work’. That led them to explore the question, ‘How can we teach hands-on massage skills while engendering a deep respect for the body and compassion for each other? They found those answers 32 years ago and they continue to distinguish Healing Hands  as a trail-blazer among Massage Therapy Schools today!

Harmony Morgan, Director – Laguna Hills Campus

Harmony Morgan, Paula and Neha’s adult daughter, is a part of that exceptional Staff.  She has been an integral part of  Healing Hands growth and success since high school. Originally, she worked behind the scenes to assist with daily Operations. In 2012, Harmony became a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist and began Instructor training. Now a married mother of two, Harmony teaches three core classes: Circulatory Massage, Shiatsu Massage, and Professional Practices, while serving as Director for the Laguna Hills Campus.

One of Harmony’s most notable accomplishments is her pursuit of the school’s Special Funding resources.  Thanks to Harmony, VA, Vocational Rehab, Cal Grant, WIOA, MyCAA, Tuition Assistance for Active Duty Military, and other  funding options are now available. These resources coupled with the school’s own, in-house payment plans, reflect Paula and Neha’s earnest desire to make an education in the Holistic Healing Arts available to all who are interested.
