Why Learn Manual Lymph Drainage?
“Manual Lymph Drainage involves gently manipulating excess fluid in your tissues toward lymph vessels and nodes to rid the body of toxins”, said Paula Curtiss, Founding Director for Healing Hands School of Holistic Health. “Knowing how to integrate it with other modalities increases the Practitioner’s impact on clients and value to Employers. Our next Manual Lymph Drainage course will be held at the Escondido Campus on March 15 and will run through April 12th. This 40-hour course will be taught by Staff Instructor, Denise Fultz on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. To enroll, call the Escondido office at (760) 746-9364 ext1.
What Exactly is Manual Lymph Drainage?
Our body’s Lymphatic System is a network of organs, tissues and vessels that maintain fluid balance and the absorption of fats in the body. An essential part of our immune system, the Lymphatic System, defends the body against infection. It relieves swelling that occurs when illness or medical treatment clogs your lymphatic system.
What Does Manual Lymph Drainage Entail?
In this Manual Lymph Drainage course, Denise uses lectures, demonstration, and guided hands-on practice to teach students how to move lymph fluid from various parts of the body. Students explore the anatomy of the Lymph System and reasons for providing manual lymph drainage massage. These include its ability to speed the body’s healing after an injury or surgery and release stagnant, toxic fluids from the cells. That’s important because toxic fluids affect our health in important ways. These include creating a lack of energy, minor aches and pains, chronic inflammation or susceptibility to illness.
