Length of Service: since September 2022 (Part-time)
Shari is a Massage Therapist, Educator, Yoga Instructor and Owner of Healthy Touch Massage & Bodywork. Shari’s intention is to offer healthy touch experiences to those needing relief from stress, tension and pain. With so many of us in busy jobs, using our heads all the time, we tend to get “out of touch” with our bodies. Massage and Yoga are wonderful ways to take some time for yourself, to breathe, reconnect with and increase your awareness of your body.
Shari received her bodywork training at IPSB College ~ the International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego, CA, where she earned 1000 hour Holistic Health Practitioner certificate in July, 1993. With Continuing Education, Shari now has well over 1500 hours of Bodywork training. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles in September, 1983, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego, San Diego CA in May, 1988. Shari was honored to be on the faculty, teaching massage and business at International Professional School of Bodywork College (IPSB) from 1994-2016. She also served as the Academic & Faculty Dean, Program Coordinator and Program Director for many of those years. After IPSB closed, she was a Massage Provider at the Bastyr University California Clinic, Sharp Health Care Cushman Wellness Center and continued her own Private Practice. From Spring 2018-Fall 2019 she served as Academic Coordinator and Instructor at ICOHS-International College of Holistic Studies. She has taught at the Costa Rica School of Massage and is currently a guest lecturer teaching Craniosacral Therapy for Healing Hands School of Massage in San Diego.
