This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Traditional Oriental Medicine, and their application to massage therapy and holistic health. Students will examine the principle concepts of yin, yang, and qi as well as the 12 primary meridians and functions of their associated organs. Through instruction, demonstration and guided, hands-on practice, the student learns traditional healing techniques such as: Fire Cupping, Gua Sha, Mixibustion, Castor Oil Packs and the use of liniments.
