Healing Hands School of Holistic Health (HHSHH) is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, under SAA, to process Veterans Benefits including Title IX and Post 9/11 GI Bill®, chapter 30, 31, 33, and 35.

All Veterans need to submit a Certificate of Eligibility when they enroll at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health.

Post 9/11 GI Bill® – Chapter 33 Benefits

Eligibility for Post 9/11 GI Bill® veteran benefits requires that you have served at least 90 days on active duty after September 10, 2001. You are also eligible if you were honorably discharged for disability resulting from service after serving 30 consecutive days following September 10, 2001.

Veteran Student at Healing Hands School

As a part of Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) qualifying veterans receive:

  • Tuition paid directly to Healing Hands School
  • Monthly Housing Allowance: paid directly to student / veteran
  • Monthly stipend for books and supplies
  • May enroll in either the Massage Therapy Program or the Holistic Health Practitioner Program

Chapter 31 – Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits

You may be eligible for Chapter 33 if your discharge was anything but dishonorable.  And you have a service related disability rating of at least 10%, or a memorandum rating of 20% or more from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA)
Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits will receive the same benefits of Chapter 33, however in addition to Chapter 33, Vocational Rehabilitation Services will provide:

  • VA Counselor to help with any emotional / physical needs
  • May be eligible for an extension of benefits beyond the 36 months received in Chapter 33
  • May enroll in either the Massage Therapy Program or the Holistic Health Practitioner Program

Chapter 30 & 35

Chapter 30: Veterans who received an Honorable discharge after June 30, 1985 but before September 11, 2001.
Chapter 35
: Dependents of Veterans (Spouse or children between 18 – 26years) who have a service-connected to permanent and total disability or died as a result of service.
Qualifying applicants receive:

  • Monthly Tuition based on attendance which is paid directly to the student, then student pays school
  • May enroll in either the Massage Therapy Program or the Holistic Health Practitioner Program
  • Students who are eligible for Chapter 30 & 35 are encouraged to also utilize Federal Student Aid.

Where to apply for Veterans Benefits

All students are encouraged to use the online system to apply for benefits called eBenefits.  The easiest way to apply for benefits is to utilize VONAPP, Veterans Online Application.
However, if you do not have access to an online system you may call the VA to ask for an application: 1-888-442-4551.  Or you may utilize the student computer at the school to apply online.

If the Call volume is high you may do Virtual Call Center and choose one of two options:
1. As Soon as Possible Call Back (ASAP)
The ASAP call back feature:  You do not loss your spot in the queue and you do not have to wait on hold.  A representative will make 3 attempts to call you back when it is your turn.
2. Scheduled Call Back (SCB)
Allows student to schedule a call appointment with the VA within 7 days.  The appointment can be set Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
