WIOA Educational Grants and Massage Therapy Training

At Healing Hands School of (Massage &) Holistic Health (Healing Hands), we prepare Graduates for success as Professional Massage Therapists.  Founders, Paula and Neha Curtiss believe an education in the Holistic Healing Arts should be available to all who are interested. Accordingly, we encourage Students in need, to apply for Special funding.  If they are underemployed, or unemployed, we direct them to apply for a Grant made possible through the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

WIOA combines the resources of many workforce agencies to provide assistance and funding to job seekers.  The WIOA team helps connect participations to a variety of no-cost services.  They help identify   strengths and interests and help create an employment plan to help participant’s reach their goals. They provide Job Fairs, Workshops, Career Opportunities, and access to employment training and services.

Just as importantly, the Education Development Department (EDD) is a WIOA partner that approves participants for the WIOA Grants.  They also maintain the Eligible Training Providers List (ETPL) and are tasked with ensuring compliance by the participating schools and vocational centers.

We’re proud to let prospective students know that Healing Hands is approved as a Training Provider.  Accordingly, you will find us on the ETPL with the following WIOA approved Programs:600-Hour Massage Therapist Program

If you’re interested in attending Healing Hands, but need funding, visit the America’s Job Career Center – Irvine.  They are located at 17891 Cartwright Road in Irvine.  Phone: 949-341-8000.  To get started, you’ll need to complete an application.  You’ll then be assigned a career counselor who will initiate assessments to determine your skills level and eligibility for a Grant.  If approved, you may receive up to $10,000 toward tuition you won’t have to repay!

At Healing Hands, we’re passionate about Massage and Holistic Health. We enjoy helping students realize their career goals.  Great care is taken to match Students with the Program most aligned with their career vision. The career of Professional Massage Therapists offers high job satisfaction, flexible schedules, a variety of work environments, and is considered an in-demand career.
