Meet Jeni: A Passionate Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner Instructor
Jeni has been a dedicated Staff Instructor for the Massage Therapist Program and Holistic Health Practitioner Program at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health since October 2009. With a brief hiatus between September 2011 and January 2013, she has been committed to sharing her extensive knowledge and expertise with her students.
A Background in Holistic Health and Massage Therapy
Jeni began her journey as a Certified Massage Therapist, earning her Massage Therapy Certificate from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, a Laguna Hills massage therapy school, in 2005. Her education provided a strong foundation in various healing arts, including Circulatory Massage, Advanced Circulatory and Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Manipulation, Passive Joint Movement, Anatomy for Bodyworkers, Tui Na Acupressure, Clinical Acupressure, Chakra Balancing, Meditation and Healing, and many more.
A Career in Spa Therapies and Resort Industry
After graduation, Jeni practiced massage at Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, CA, where she earned a Diploma in Spa Therapies from the Advanced Spa Therapies Education and Certification Council (ASTECC) in 2006. As an ASTECC Therapist, she honed her skills in advanced modalities such as Contrast Hydrotherapy, Hot and Cold Stone Massage, Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), Connective Tissue Massage, Prenatal Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and more.
Between 2011 and 2013, Jeni moved to the central coast of California and had the opportunity to run all Avila Beach Spa Retreat operations. This experience allowed her to manage all aspects of the spa business and create private courses for local Certified Massage Therapists. She also worked as a Massage Therapist at the iconic Madonna Inn during this time.
Entrepreneurship and Specialized Certifications
In 2013, Jeni partnered and launched an electrotherapy business in private practice in Laguna Beach. This FDA-approved level 2 medical device assists with various medical issues, including muscular tension, pain and neuropathy, lymph drainage, tissue swelling, weight loss, and overall well-being.
Jeni has also received certifications in Oncology Massage and Lymphedema Therapy, allowing her to work with cancer patients and those suffering from lymphedema.
Current Endeavors at Miraval Life in Balance Spa
Since 2016, Jeni has worked at Miraval Life in Balance Spa, located at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Club in Dana Point, CA. She provides highly personalized service to her massage clients and practices sought-after treatments such as Ayurveda, Crystal Healing, and Sound Healing. Jeni also enjoys practicing Hydrotherapy using coastal-inspired ingredients, Crystal Salt Stones, Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, and exceptional bodywork that keeps her clients coming back for more.

With Forbes 5 Star training since 2002, Jeni is passionate about practicing and teaching various modalities. Her belief in the power of giving and teaching resonates through her courses in Deep Tissue Manipulation, Circulatory Massage, Lymph Drainage, and Professional Practices.
