Benefits of Circulatory Massage

Circulatory Massage is an excellent integrative therapy that offers numerous health benefits,” said Harmony Morgan, Director for Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, Laguna Hills. “Massage Therapists can provide a very therapeutic and nurturing experience.  Circulatory Massage helps enhance circulation and the functioning of all Body Systems while reducing pain and discomfort,” she added.

Harmony is a Certified Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner with years of experience as a multi-modality Massage Therapist and Staff Instructor.  She understands first-hand how therapeutic touch delivered with focused intention can provide substantial relief to patients of all ages including infants and the elderly.

In Circulatory Massage class, Healing Hands Instructors provide lecture, demonstration, and dozens of hours of hands-on practice.  Students learn about all the bones and muscles in the body, and master body draping with a variety of Swedish massage strokes and techniques.  In addition, students go through body mechanics training where they learn how to hold their body posture correctly so they can have a long and fulfilling career in massage.  By the end of the course, students are empowered to deliver a full-body Circulatory Massage that addresses therapeutic concerns while promoting deep relaxation and well-being.

Circulatory Massage facilitates the release of neurochemicals that reduce stress and alleviate pain.  With regular Circulatory Massage, clients can enjoy a reduction in pain leading to a more holistic life style.  In addition to a long list of physical benefits, Circulatory Massage delivers many significant psycho-social benefits as well.  These may include but are not limited to, enhanced mood, an increase in energy and mental focus, balanced emotions, and increased self-esteem.

Harmony shares the reality of this work with students, explaining how working with a variety of different clients can present challenges, but also offers many rewards. Although it requires a willingness to acknowledge and be sensitive to the emotional vulnerability of clients, it also can facilitate profound personal and professional growth for the Massage Therapist.
