Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance

Program (VRRAP)

 

The VA recently announced a new program for Veterans who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program (VRRAP) offers re-training for high-demand fields such as massage therapy to eligible Veterans.  Benefits include up to 12 months of tuition and fees as well as a monthly housing allowance.

Who is eligible:

  • Veterans between the ages of 22 and 66
  • Unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Not rated as totally disabled because you can’t work
  • Not enrolled in a federal or state jobs program

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the Job Growth for Massage Therapists is exceptional, (21%) with an expectation of 34,400 new jobs between 2019 and 2029.
