“At Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, students don’t just receive massage therapy training, they receive mentoring in Health and the Holistic Healing Arts”, says Laguna Hills Classroom Director, Ms. Harmony Morgan. “Our School’s Founders, Paula and Neha Curtiss, have chosen a dedicated team of professionals who are commitment to our students’ success. Not only are they specialist in their field, they strive to honor each student’s individuality and to empower them with the information, skills and attitude needed to become the best in their field”, she added.
Licensed Massage Therapists for over 30 years, Paula and Neha are credited with developing and successfully implementing the first Massage Therapy curriculum for community colleges in SoCal. After recognizing the demand for a more expansive Program of study, they started Healing Hands with the intention to do just that. Since then, their curriculum has expanded from 8 to over 80 Massage and related holistic health courses.
As new courses were added, great care was taken to find subject specialists who shared the Curtiss’s appreciation and talent for the Holistic Healing Arts. Since 1992, Healing Hands Faculty has grown from 2 to over 20 highly-qualified Staff Instructors plus several body-work specialists who annually contribute as ‘Guest Instructors’. Best of all, the Healing Hands Faculty offers classes year-round that rotate through three Classroom locations; Kearny Mesa, Escondido and Laguna Hills.
Healing Hands Instructors are encouraged to lead by example, creating a safe learning environment and demonstrating compassion and respect toward all students. This is especially important in classes that explore delicate topics such as personal boundaries, professional ethics, and the Therapist’s healing intention. Fortunately for students, Healing Hands Instructors make classes as thought-provoking and educational as they are practical and useful.
Most graduates’ sentiments reflect how Healing Hands Faculty demonstrated a high level of expertise, compassion and patience toward students. They credit their Instructors with facilitating a profound physical, personal and professional transformation that put them on a path toward career success and satisfaction!
