Spring Classes in Circulatory Massage … Get Trained for an In-Demand Career Now!

“Circulatory Massage is an excellent integrative therapy that can be used to enhance the quality of life for anyone”, said Harmony Curtiss, Director at Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in Laguna Hills. “Massage Therapists provide a nurturing experience that helps reduce pain and discomfort while restoring healthy posture, balance and range of motion. All three Healing Hands locations offer Circulatory Massage during the daytime and in the evening to accommodate students who may be transitioning from other jobs ”, she continued.

Healing Hands Circulatory Massage Classes can be taken alone, or as part of a formal Program.  This introductory course teaches students the bones and muscles of the body, and techniques to provide a full-body Circulatory Massage.  Students who are exploring massage as a career often take this class before formally enrolling in a Program.  Should they decide to move forward, they may transfer the 100 hours of credits earned in Circulatory into either the 600-hour Massage Therapist Program or the 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program.

Harmony is a multi-modality Instructor who understands first-hand how providing a gentle, therapeutic touch can provide substantial relief to anyone!  In addition to helping people with muscle tension due to stress or over-use, Massage also helps athletes prepare for and recover from competition and injury.  Just as importantly, Circulatory Massage provides substantial relief and comfort to those diagnosed with life-threatening diseases.

In Healing Hands’ Circulatory Massage class students examine the causes and contraindications associated with acute injuries, as well as chronic and terminal illnesses. Through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice, they learn a variety of bodywork styles and techniques to address therapeutic concerns while promoting healing and relaxation.

Circulatory Massage is just one of many modalities that facilitate the release of neuro-chemicals that reduce stress and alleviate pain.  With regular Circulatory Massage, many clients enjoy a reduction in their need for narcotics or psychotropic medications which usually have negative side-effects.  In addition to the myriad of physical benefits, Circulatory Massage also delivers many significant psychosocial benefits.  These may include but are not limited to:

  • Relief from stress, anger, frustration and other negative emotions, as therapeutic massage has been proven to positively impact mood
  • Depression and hopelessness give way to optimism and hope as the client feels the immediate improvement resulting from therapeutic massage
  • Mood swings caused by pain, limited movement, or simply the situation itself are diminished as the client is soothed by massage and hope re-emerges.

Harmony enjoys sharing the reality of Professional Massage work with her students. She explains how working with massage clients requires a willingness to stay present, tuned in and engaged.  She also shares how Massage allows for many enriching, rewarding moments with clients. Harmony believes that providing Circulatory Massage to those in need facilitates profound growth, both personally and professionally for the Professional Massage Therapist.
