Reputation:
Founded in 1992 by Paula and Neha Curtiss, Healing Hands is one of the most referred schools for Massage Therapist training in California. With three campus locations, Healing Hands has created a network of Healers who serve residents from San Diego to Laguna Hills. Through the years, they earned a reputation for turning out the areas’ most caring and competent Massage Therapists and Body-workers.
Track Record:
“Becoming successful as a Professional Massage Therapist requires a genuine concern for others and a willingness to gain the knowledge and skills to make a difference!” That’s the philosophy of Harmony Curtiss, Director and Staff Instructor for Healing Hands School of Holistic Health- Laguna Hills. “Our staff has successfully prepared more than 7,000 Graduates for rewarding careers as Professional Massage Therapist, yet the demand continues to rise!”, she added.
Living Wage Job Opportunities:
The school’s reputation and longevity of operation has resulted in an unsurpassed quantity and quality of job opportunities. These include opportunities to work within Spas, Luxury Resorts, Cruise ships, Casinos, Gyms, Sports Clinics, Rehab Centers, Hospitals, Doctor’s offices and a variety of other unique wellness settings. Starting salaries range from $25 to $45 per hour.
Financial Aid Options:
The variety of financial aid options is another reason Healing Hands is a top choice for prospective students. Having earned National Accreditation, the school is authorized to accept Federal Student Aid, Vocational Rehab, Unemployment, WIA, or VA educational funds on behalf of students who qualify. Students who fail to qualify for government funding may choose from three “in-house” payment plans.
Two Fast-Tracks to Employment:
Unlike a traditional four-year college, Healing Hands is a Vocation School that focuses solely on the Holistic Healing Arts. Students attending Healing Hands have two ‘fast-track’ Program options. Those who need to get working fast may choose the 600-Hour Massage Therapist Program. It prepares the student for State Certification in as little as 7 months.
Students may also select the 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program. It expands upon the basic Program with an addition 400 hours of elective classes. These include advanced techniques and holistic health practices to enhance one’s Massage Practice. The Holistic Health Practitioner Program can be completed in as little as 1 year.
Expansive Healing Arts Curriculum:
Healing Hands offers an unprecedented number of massage and holistic health class options! Unlike other Massage Schools that restrict offerings to a “standard” Program of study, Healing Hands students help to design their Program. With over 80 massage and related holistic health classes to choose from, there is something for everyone at Healing Hands.
Students may pursue ancient and traditional massage modalities as well as cutting edge Sports, Neuromuscular, or Energetic healing therapies. Those interested in Holistic Health classes may explore Holistic Nutrition, Medicinal Herbs, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Stretching, Breath-work, and many more!
Flexible Scheduling:
Another important reason prospective Students choose Healing Hands is their ability to attend classes during the day, evenings or on weekends. They may also choose to attend on a full-time or part-time basis. Classes at Healing Hands are offered individually or as part of a formal Program. Those who do take individual classes may transfer their credits into a Program at any time.
