Labor Day 2018 – Holistic Massage School Celebrates The Valuable Contributions of Massage Therapy Professionals

“This Labor Day, I want to acknowledge the 7,000 + students who have graduated and moved on to pursue their dreams of becoming Professional Massage Therapists”, said Paula Curtiss, Founding Director for Healing Hands School of Holistic Health, (Healing Hands). “Collectively, they deliver therapeutic touch to reduce pain, increase mobility, heal injury and positively affect the health and wellness of thousands in our communities. Individually, they have grown in awareness, compassion, self-confidence and valuable life-skills.  This Labor Day, our Faculty, Staff and Management want to express our pride and appreciation for each of you.  Thank you Graduates, for your hard work and dedication to the Holistic Healing Arts.  Know that you are literally changing lives for the better, one client at a time, and we couldn’t be prouder”, she added.

LaborDay, considered a “working person’s holiday”, is a tribute to the strength, Spirit, and socio-economic achievements of the American worker.  First celebrated on September 5, 1882, traditional Labor Day observances brought workers together with family to relax, picnic and enjoy recreational activities. Through the years, the nature of the Labor Day celebration has shifted to an emphasis on the economic and civic significance of the holiday.  Today observance includes the spiritual and educational aspects of the labor movement as well.

As Massage Therapists and Holistic Health Practitioners, our graduates raise awareness of the physiological and emotional benefits of massage and natural, holistic practices.  In less than one year, you too can be fully prepared for an in-demand, living-wage career that contributes to humanity. Most importantly, Massage Therapists gain valuable knowledge and powerful skills to optimize their own health and that of their loved ones and clients which provides great personal satisfaction.

By helping raise awareness of the therapeutic benefits of massage, Healing Hand’s Graduates offer clients an alternative to the prescription pain meds and surgeries often prescribed by Western medicine.  Practitioners trained at Healing Hands strive to identify the cause of symptoms rather than just randomly massage muscles. Instructors’ focus is on the structure and function of the body and students receive training on multiple modalities and advanced techniques to ensure their ability to effectively address client concerns
