Essential oils have been used all over the world for thousands of years because of the healing properties they provide us. By extracting the components from plants, oils contain a variety of restorative features.

Here are some different types of essential oils and their benefits:

Lavender

There’s a reason why this scent is one of the most popular of them all. Although lavender has multiple purposes, it is most commonly used to relax. The calming scent it produces is beneficial to those suffering from anxiety or trouble sleeping. Aside from relieving stress, it also can aid in healing skin wounds and burns.

Eucalyptus

This oil is great for treating colds and congestion. Its antibacterial properties allow for aid in respiratory issues. Adding it to a bath can clear your mind and your airways all at once. Try using eucalyptus in your home as a cleaning product as well. This multi-purpose cleaner will leave your home smelling naturally fresh with no toxins.

Tea Tree

Tea tree provides antiseptic properties that can heal a variety of skin issues. Use this oil to help fight acne, soothe dry cuticles, or reduce inflammation from conditions like psoriasis or eczema. You can also treat skin infections and cuts with tea tree.

Lemon

The look of lemon is as bright as its benefits. Revitalizing and energy boosting, lemon helps promote mindfulness to keep you focused. This acidic fruit also can be used as a detoxifier, just add a couple of drops to your water in the morning for a natural cleanse.

Chamomile

Commonly seen in tea, chamomile’s sweet scent can replace your feelings of anger and disappointment with relaxation and positivity. The physical benefits are just as useful, as this oil adequately reduces pain. Whether you have headaches or muscle pain, you can use chamomile to relieve your suffering.

These natural remedies can provide relief in all aspects of your life. Utilizing essential oils can help you eliminate the use of medication and toxic products while promoting a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.
