Holistic Massage School Appoints New Instructor for Advanced Circulatory and Sports Massage

Christopher Morgan demonstrated an exceptional understanding of Anatomy and Physiology right from the start of his educational Program” said, Paula Curtiss, Founding Director for Healing Hands School of Holistic Health (HH).  “In addition to mastering a variety of massage modalities and techniques, Chris possesses strong leadership abilities, making him an asset to our school and a blessing to our Students.  Please join me in recognizing Chris as the newest member of the HH Faculty”, she continued.

Christopher (Chris) Morgan is a Certified Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner whose focus is clinical sports massage therapies and soft tissue injury rehabilitation.  A Los Angeles native, Chris is naturally athletic and enjoys practicing a variety of the ‘Flow’ or Movement Arts (Fire-spinning, Prop Manipulation, Acrobatics). Prior to pursuing an education in Massage Therapy, Chris served as a Customer Support Analyst and Professional Corporate Trainer. He became interested in Massage Therapy as it offers a combination of physical, mental and energetic work that enables him to help others.

As a Massage Therapist Chris uses strong communication and analytical skills to establish client rapport, discern the cause of his client’s pain, and customize a treatment plan.  As the Instructor for HH’s 100-hour Advanced Circulatory and Sports Class, Chris takes great pride in teaching his students to facilitate that same kind of therapeutic healing.

Enthusiastically recommended for the Staff Instructor Program, Chris completed training months after graduation and began teaching in October of 2016.   Though Chris’s class was previously taught by seasoned Instructors JR Price and Raina Colvin, his students enjoyed a 100% pass rate, attesting to Chris’s conscientious and competent nature.

In Chris’s classes, as with his clients, he initiates an educational conversation, rather than lecture. He listens and observes closely before employing knowledge, experience, patience and skill to achieve results.   By teaching students the skills to assess clients and the techniques to customize their bodywork, Chris hopes to raise awareness of Therapeutic Massage as essential to any wellness plan. Going forward, Chris intends to teach body movement (body mechanics) training to Massage Therapists.  He also looks forward to establishing a private practice and incorporating life-coaching into his service offerings.

Chris is proficient in several Eastern and Western massage modalities.  These include: Swedish (Circulatory), Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular, Structural Integration, Lymphatic Drainage, Tui Na (Acupressure), and Thai Foot Massage.  Chris maximizes his practice by combining the best of bodywork manipulations and neuromuscular therapies with structural integration and stretching exercises.  His passion and dedication translate to an excellent quality of care for his clients and an exceptional role model for aspiring Massage Therapists.
