The majority of students who attend Healing Hands School of Holistic Health are self-proclaimed health enthusiasts interested in a career in the Healing Arts. For some this means enrolling in the school’s 500 hour Massage Therapist Training Program that focuses on foundational classes such as Anatomy, Body-mechanics, Circulatory and other Massage techniques that allow one to work at a Massage Clinic, Day Spa or Resort. Other students, however, opt for the 1000 hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program that includes all core classes plus 500 additional hours from a long list of health related electives. The wide-variety of electives offered at HHSHH allow students to pursue a specific area of interest within the Massage Therapy field. The school’s strong reputation among employers ensures student placement.
Students interested in Sports Therapies may opt for advanced electives such as Sports Injuries and Neuromuscular Therapies, Myo-facial Meridians for Pain Relief and Advanced Circulatory and Sports Massage. Other students, who prefer working in Hospitals, Rehab Centers or Doctor’s offices, may choose from a long list of medical classes such as: Therapeutic Mobilization, Visceral Manipulations, Lymph Drainage, Clinical Acupressure and Geriatric Massage. Students interested in learning about ancient or more traditional healing modalities may explore electives such as: Herbal Studies & Applications, Homeopathic 1st Aid, or Traditional Oriental Clinical Techniques. Last but not least, many students and returning Alumni want to become self-employed as either a Massage Therapist or Holistic Health Practitioner. In these cases, students may choose classes designed for professional and self-development such as: Massage as a Business, Community Service Internship, Clinical Massage, and On-Site Therapy for Career Development.
Regardless of the area of specialty a massage student may wish to pursue, they can find the classes they need at HHSHH.
