Holistic Massage School Volunteers Help at OCRA, Orange County Ride for AIDS

OC Ride for AIDS (aka OCRA) is a bike ride that supports AIDS Services Foundation (ASF) in Orange County.   “AIDS Services Foundation Orange County’s (ASF) mission is to prevent the spread of HIV and improve the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County”

At Healing Hands School of Holistic Health we pride ourselves in supporting our community, and the people around us.  This is the second time that Healing Hands has been a part of OCRA where students have volunteered their time.  A huge thank you goes out to the following students: Viet Vu, Tara Miali, Ivette Brosz, Maryam Lailabadi, Will Wooten, and Alison Jones.

OCRA

As  students and graduates alike, your selfless acts of volunteering will push you into the forefront of the massage therapy industry.  These students worked shifts giving Massage Therapy, pain and joint relief to the riders in the event.  Posted at the mid-line and at the finish line, these students helped relieve cramping muscles, helped stabilize overloaded systems, and brought a sense of peace to the otherwise charged and exciting atmosphere.

The coordinator of the event, Vince Bennet said, “We had amazing feed back from the riders as well as the “OCRA” Orange County Ride for AIDS orgnaizers regarding the exceptional massage team.  Thank you everyone from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health who attended as well as assisting in organizing the massage team.  This was our 5th year and we are thrilled to have Healing Hands as the official Massage Team of OCRA!”

And thank you Vince Bennett for providing our therapists with shade, water, t-shirts, and the opportunity to work with these amazing athletes, mothers, fathers, friends and survivors.  Is was truly an amazing experience.
